Adopt a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat)

Hello! My name is RUDY

. I'm one of the Snowbirds rescued from an Indiana puppy mill. Thanks to CRF I've left that life behind and I'm happier than ever. I am a little shy around new people at first, but with time to warm up I'm all tail wags and sniffs; and I follow my people everywhere. I've even learned to accept affection and allow people to hold me comfortably.  I know that with love and patience, I will blossom!



I will say that I'm quite the social butterfly with other dogs, especially my Cavalier foster brothers and sisters. Kitties are new and interesting to me, but I'm told I behave well with them too. My favorite is snuggling up to my Cavalier friends especially for nap-time.



I hear I'm about 8-9 years old, give or take.  Since coming into rescue I've had some vetting done, and I had to see the Cardiologist. He tells me my heart needs some medicines for the rest of my life. It sounds pretty serious but I'm not worried because these medications have helped me so much that my heart is now strong enough to get my teeth cleaned and bad ones pulled. I'm going to feel SO MUCH better after that too because bad teeth = bad heart. My doctors also tell me that I can finally be neutered too. That will keep me healthier longer also. So not to worry, my CRF family is doing everything possible to make me healthy as a horse. And you know what that means! I will be ready for my forever home in no time!



In the meantime, nothing is holding me back one bit from learning the good life, exploring and barking at those pesky landscapers interrupting my naps. I do take short walks, my foster mommy is making sure I don't push my heart to much. For the long walks I ride in style in a buggie. So I don't miss out on anything.
